Accessibility
This site is meant to work well for everyone, including with a keyboard, a screen reader, magnification or high contrast. We voluntarily follow the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, level AA.
What we do
- Every page can be used entirely with a keyboard, and the focus is always visible. A “Skip to content” link comes first.
- Text and controls have sufficient contrast in both light and dark mode.
- The site works from 320 pixels wide and at 400 percent zoom without horizontal scrolling, also with increased line and letter spacing.
- Images have text descriptions; purely decorative elements are hidden from screen readers.
- If you choose “reduce motion” in your system settings, you will not see animations.
- Every page declares its language (German or English), so screen readers pronounce it correctly.
How we test
With every change, an automated test checks all pages in a browser: with the axe tool against WCAG 2.2 AA in light and dark mode, plus keyboard use and focus, target sizes, layout at 320 pixels and with increased text spacing, reduced motion and forced-colours mode. No testing by people with disabilities has taken place so far.
Known limitations
- YouTube player: After you click, the site shows YouTube’s player. We have no influence on how it works. As an alternative, a link leads straight to the video on YouTube.
- Music page: The music page is only available in German.
